The lens uses 10 internal elements, three of them are ED elements and two are HR and feature Olympus ZERO coating to reduce flare and ghosts caused by internal reflections. Nine curved aperture blades yield smooth and creamy bokeh and provide circular discs on highlights. The MSC designation makes this lens ideal for both still photos and video, with quiet and fast auto focus operation that will not interfere with audio. The lens also provides minimum focus distance of under 30 inches.
